Deborah Collins is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in functional medicine.
Deborah earned a Bachelor of Science Nursing degree from Thomas College, Thomasville, Georgia and completed her Master's Degree of Science in Nursing at Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida Magna cum Laude in 1999. She became licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner upon graduation. In 2016 Deborah earned her Certification from The Institute of Functional Medicine.
Professional affiliations include the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Florida Nurse Practitioner Network, and Nurse Practitioner Council of Palm Beach County.
With experience since 2005 as owner and operator of Jove Medical, now known as Florida Center for Healthy Living, Deborah has been able to help men and women with various needs regarding menopause, andropause, hypothyroidism, adrenal fatigue, inflammatory disorders, and metabolic syndromes. Her background in family medicine, urgent care, and medical aesthetics provides her with the experience and diversity to help treat illnesses, restore vitality, and preserve and promote optimum health. With over 25 years of clinical nursing experience, Deborah brings a wealth of knowledge dedicating her to helping every patient achieve optimum health and vitality integrated with every aspect of aging and wellness.
Deborah resides in Jupiter with her husband Keith and their son Matthew. Matthew is seven years old and is on the Autism Spectrum. He has multiple diagnoses including brain tumor removal as an infant, epilepsy, and moderate autism. Deborah has since dedicated her life to learning everything she can about this puzzle called Autism. She has nearly six years of experience working with functional medicine practitioners in treating her child, and years of personal experiences with many of the challenges one faces with Autism. She has been treating individuals with autism-related issues for over two years now. She will further her knowledge in training with the MAPS (Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs) program beginning in the Spring of 2018.
